1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Noi AB, a company registered in Sweden that provides Pinola. "We", "us", and "our" in these terms mean Noi AB. By downloading or using Pinola, you agree to these terms. Pinola is made for children to use together with their parents or guardians. If you are a parent or guardian letting a child use Pinola, you are the contracting party: you accept these terms on the child's behalf and are responsible for the child's use of the app.
2. What Pinola is
Pinola is a playful learning app offering educational stories and games for children ages 5 to 12. Children explore stories, mini-games, and activities; a separate parent area, protected by a parental gate, gives parents insight into what their child enjoys and is learning. No account is needed to play; a parent can optionally sign in to keep a subscription and parent report across devices.
3. Eligibility
Children may use the kid side of Pinola under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Setup, the parent area, purchases, and any external links are intended for adults only and sit behind a parental gate. You must be an adult to accept these terms.
4. Your content and data
The child's profile and progress belong to you. You grant us permission to process this information solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Pinola shows no advertising and does not sell personal information.
5. Learning disclaimer
Pinola is made for enjoyment and playful enrichment. It is not a substitute for school, professional education, or any form of medical, psychological, or developmental advice, and the insights shown to parents must not be relied on as a professional assessment of a child.
6. AI-generated content
Stories, games, and activities in Pinola are generated by artificial intelligence through third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf, and are reviewed by automated safety filters before they reach the child. Machine-generated content can occasionally be imperfect. If you see content that seems wrong for your child, contact us and we will look into it.
7. Third-party services
Pinola relies on third-party service providers, for example to generate activities, narrate stories, and host our servers. We choose these providers carefully, but we are not responsible for interruptions originating in their services.
8. Intellectual property
Pinola and its content, including characters, artwork, stories, activities, and software, are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the app.
9. Purchases and subscriptions
Pinola offers an optional subscription with two auto-renewable plans: a monthly plan that starts with a 3-day free trial, and an annual plan. Payment is handled exclusively by the app store you downloaded Pinola from, and the price is shown in the store before you buy. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it any time in your app store account settings. Purchases require the account holder's authorization.
10. App store terms
Your use of Pinola is also subject to the applicable app store's terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Pinola; those responsibilities are ours.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Pinola, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfering with the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
12. Termination
You can stop using Pinola at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. Paid periods already charged are not refunded by us; refunds are governed by your app store's policies.
13. Disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability
Pinola is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of Pinola is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or 50 USD. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection law grants you in your country of residence.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence provide otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you inside the app. Continuing to use Pinola after a change means you accept the updated terms.
